Career and Academic Pathways or CAPs were created to promote efficient completion of educational goals through well-defined degree pathways and student-centered supports. SWTJC CAPs align and leverage coursework in each degree program to prepare students to succeed after high school and to expand students’ education and employment opportunities.
Each career and academic pathway includes rigorous classes, exploration of occupations, identification of professional interests, and development of marketable skills. Students save time and money by taking only the courses they need in the pathway they have chosen to accelerate degree completion. Success Coaches are available to provide guidance from beginning to end, monitoring students’ progress along their pathway.
