College and career fair draws large crowd
The event was a partnership between the City of Eagle Pass, Eagle Pass Business & Economic Development,
"The turnout was great, and I believe it was a very productive day for all the students who attended," said Johnny Guzman, Dean of Applied Sciences and Workforce Education. “The objective to this event was to expose Eagle Pass residents to well-paying jobs that can lead to long-term careers.”
A total of three $500 scholarships were awarded to students in attendance. Winners included Jon Navarro, Amber Lynn Diaz, and Alexis Lopez.
Participating agencies included: numerous SWTJC departments and programs, Office of the Governor, Maverick County Hospital District, Ft. Duncan Regional Medical Center,
