Uvalde, TX, February 27, 2024 - Jessica Beltran, a recent graduate of the SWTJC Adult Education and Literacy program in Eagle Pass, has shown remarkable determination and resilience on her journey to achieving her GED. Despite facing challenges and transitions in her career, Jessica's unwavering commitment to education and her passion for early childhood development has paved the way for her bright future.

In a recent interview, Jessica shared insights into her inspiring educational journey and her aspirations for the future. When asked about her decision to return to school, Jessica reflected on her journey, stating that she began her studies in May last year and proudly graduated in Aug. 2023.

Before pursuing her GED, Jessica held various roles in the retail industry, demonstrating her strong work ethic and leadership skills. From her early days as a stocker at Kohl's to her managerial position at Forever 21, Jessica's professional experience has shaped her determination to excel in her career despite the obstacles she faced, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As she embarks on the next chapter of her life, Jessica expresses her plans to seek employment while also aiming to further her education. Her goal is to register for college in the upcoming summer or fall semester, with a clear vision of becoming a teacher specializing in early childhood development within the Eagle Pass school district.
