Uvalde Campus Lockdown Information Notice
Uvalde, TX, March 29, 2022 - SWTJC campus police locked down the Uvalde campus due to a high-speed chase that came into the campus. According to the SWTJC Safe app, the lockdown notification came in at 9:59 a.m. Students, faculty, and staff were notified of the all-clear status at 10:10 a.m.
According to our Chief of Police, Jimmy Caliham, the assailant came into the college campus through the main entrance, a parking lot, and out of the campus to the adjacent airport.
We thank the SWTJC Campus Police and members of the various law enforcement agencies that participated in securing the college campus," said SWTJC Vice President of Administrative Services Derek Sandoval.
