The Associates of Science in Engineering Science (ASES) degree allows students to pursue careers that strike a satisfying balance between creativity, technical proficiency and attention to detail. With an ASES a student can begin to make himself/herself a vital asset in a variety of fields, such as architecture, manufacturing, construction, and the oil and gas industry; and engineering fields such as civil, electrical, mechanical, chemical, petroleum, and biomedical. The engineering program at Southwest Texas Junior College offers a wide range of courses in a variety of formats. Courses taken for the ASES transfer to Texas public universities for four-year degrees, and transfer agreements between SWTJC and several colleges and universities, make the process easier for students to obtain the degree they seek.
